Accounting Manager

Grow Budapest’s new accounting hub: lead a proactive team, streamline processes, ensure accuracy and compliance, and partner across the group.

We are building and improving our group finance functions for our 1,800-employee size company and are now seeking a skilled and proactive Accounting Manager to join our finance team in a fast-paced, international, subscription-based business.

You will be based in Budapest but be a part of our accounting team, which is split across this location and Copenhagen and together you will assist the entire group and take full ownership over the local accounting team located in Budapest and support other entities in the wider group.one globally.

From our Budapest office, you will play an important role in managing and developing the local accounting team, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and consistency.

We’re building up a brand-new accounting hub in Budapest, and we need someone who’s excited about streamlining workflows and processes to fit the rest of the organization and helping us insource the accounting tasks currently handled externally for several smaller entities.

What you will be working on

Build & Boost Our Budapest Accounting Function

• Give shape, structure, and sparkle to new and improved accounting processes
• Help grow a small but mighty local accounting team
• Set up a smooth, scalable insourcing model for our smaller entities
• Own the Day-to-Day Accounting Magic

Month-end closing including reconciliations — the whole cycle

• AP, AR, GL entries, bank reconciliations, intercompany tasks
• Collaboration with external providers (until everything is safely in-house)

Make Things Better. Always.

• Simplify, optimize, polish — you know the drill
• Strengthen internal controls and standardize workflows without complicating
• things
• Support ERP improvements (NetSuite experience is a high-five, not a must)

Connect Across the Group

• You´ll be reporting to Head of Accounting located at our Copenhagen office
• Work closely with our Copenhagen finance team
• Team up with colleagues in Controlling, Tax and more
• Support integration of new entities

About you

You are an experienced finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, international

environment. You enjoy taking ownership, improving processes, and ensuring strong

financial governance.

• A proactive mindset and a strong drive to move things forward
• Knowledge of multi-entity accounting
• Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus
• Solid hands-on experience of the end-to-end accounting process
• Independent, proactive, structured, and solution-oriented
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Comfort working in a cross-functional and multicultural environment
