Job Summary:
InstaWP is hiring an in-house Video Editor and Content Producer who can record and edit product videos for our WordPress-focused audience. This role is for someone who can own the video workflow end-to-end and consistently ship high-quality tutorials, product walkthroughs, and short-form clips across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record clear screen demos of InstaWP features and workflows with readable UI.
- Create and edit YouTube tutorials (2 to 8 minutes) with strong structure, clean pacing, and clear narration.
- Create and edit short-form videos (15 to 60 seconds) for YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and X.
- Add captions and on-screen callouts such as zooms, highlights, pointers, and text overlays.
- Improve audio quality by reducing noise, balancing levels, and keeping voice crisp.
- Maintain a consistent style across videos using templates for text, captions, and exports.
- Coordinate with marketing and product teams to plan topics and iterate quickly on feedback.
- Export final videos in the right formats and resolutions for each channel.
Must-Have Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in video editing and content production.
- Strong editing fundamentals: pacing, storytelling, clean cuts, captions, and audio cleanup.
- Experience with at least one editing tool: Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
- Ability to record high-quality screen videos and deliver clear voiceovers when needed.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setup and taking ownership of deadlines.
- Portfolio is mandatory, with relevant samples (tutorials, screen demos, short clips).
Nice to have:
- Experience editing SaaS, tech, or WordPress content.
- Basic motion graphics skills for callouts and highlights (After Effects or equivalents).
- Ability to suggest hooks and structure for short-form videos.
- Comfort appearing on camera occasionally (optional, not mandatory).
