Responsibilities
As a Systems Administrator/DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in
maintaining our server infrastructure and enabling our team and users to succeed.
You’ll work closely with developers and other team members to build tools and
systems that ensure our platform is reliable, scalable, and secure.

Responsibilities include:
● Manage Servers: Oversee Ubuntu Linux servers hosted on Digital Ocean, many of
which run on the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and support WordPress
applications.
Maintenance and Updates: Keep our servers up to date with security patches,
software updates, and best practices.
● Troubleshooting: Monitor, diagnose, and address trafc, performance, and
security issues as they arise.
● Tool Development: Create tools and systems to streamline infrastructure
maintenance and management.
● Template Development: Build Digital Ocean Droplet templates for internal use
and to share with our developer community.
● Infrastructure Planning: Collaborate with the team to design and implement
new infrastructure capable of hosting thousands of sites on the Paid
Memberships Pro (PMPro) platform.
● API Development: Contribute to the planning and development of paid APIs and
web services for our users.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in some of these areas and a
willingness to learn and grow alongside our team.

Skills and Qualications
● Experience managing Linux servers, particularly Ubuntu.
● Prociency with the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
● Familiarity with WordPress hosting environments.
● Understanding of server security, performance optimization, and
troubleshooting.
● Ability to develop tools and automation scripts to improve workows.
● Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote
team.
● Commitment to continuous learning and applying new skills to evolving
challenges.

Salary Range
This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on the candidate’s
availability.
The hourly rate ranges from USD $25 to $50, based on experience and hours
committed.
For full-time positions, additional benets will be discussed alongside the base salary.

Bonus Skills and Qualications
● Experience with Digital Ocean or similar cloud hosting providers.
● Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.
● Experience with API development and management.
● Understanding of scaling and load-balancing strategies for web applications.
