Newspack is seeking a full-time account executive to drive sales across a burgeoning community of digital news publishers around the globe.
Newspack is part of Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com, WordPress VIP, and more. Our mission is to help independent news organizations publish great stories, develop a loyal audience, and find a path to financial sustainability at a moment when local journalism faces immense challenges.
We do that by deploying a publishing solution—developed in partnership with the Google News Initiative, the Lenfest Institute, and WordPress.com—that is tailored to the needs of digital news publishers, incorporates industry best practices, and provides best-in-class support.
In just over three years, nearly 300 publications have joined Newspack, from venerable institutions like Washington Monthly and Center for Public Integrity to vibrant digital startups like The Voice of SanDiego and MLK50.
As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for building and managing a pipeline of qualified prospects and meeting monthly sales goals.
You should have a deep understanding of the news business, the technology required to drive that business, and the ability to help prospects understand the value that a platform like Newspack can deliver.

This role requires you to have a deep understanding of the technology and platforms that we run, and be able to communicate with engineers effectively. Moderate travel is required as well. This is a full-time, salaried, remote position.
Salary range: $120,000-$200,000 USD – Please note that salary ranges are global, regardless of location, and we pay in local currency.
